What it means to have a WELL AP Accredited Professional in Our Team

Having a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) in our team is a fantastic addition to our human resource portfolio, and a unique offering for our clients. The WELL AP credential is awarded to individuals who demonstrate expertise in the WELL Building Standard, which focuses on enhancing health and wellbeing in the built environment.

We sat down with Polina, our newly certified WELL AP, to learn more about what drives her, why she chose the WELL standard, and what wellness means to her, both professionally and personally.

What inspires your current work? With a background in workplace health and sustainability, I’m passionate about creating greener, healthier indoor environments. My work focuses on improving air quality and environmental monitoring, helping organisations prioritise the wellbeing of their people. I'm also an advocate for innovative cleaning solutions, including the use of probiotics, to support long-term indoor environmental health.

Why did you join the WELL community? I joined the WELL community as part of a new stage in my professional journey: one where I’m aligning my passion for healthy living with a commitment to evidence-based standards. Achieving the WELL AP credential represents my dedication to credibility and best practice. I’m excited to be part of a global movement that values health, sustainability, and human-centered design.

What does wellness mean to you? To me, wellness means living with intention — caring for my body, mind, and relationships in a way that supports balance and vitality. I incorporate wellness into my life through regular yoga and connecting with nature on walks and tracks across beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand. I enjoy meaningful social connections, surrounding myself with people who uplift and inspire me.

Polina’s passion for healthier indoor spaces and her commitment to science-backed practices align perfectly with our mission to create better environments for the people who use them. We’re excited to see how this knowledge continues to influence our services and contributes to healthier, more sustainable workplaces across Aotearoa New Zealand.
